The Vellise filter is designed to reduce chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals, sediment, rust, and VOCs through its 15-stage filtration system - including Vitamin C, KDF55, and coconut activated carbon media.
How is it different from a basic carbon filter?
How is it different from a basic carbon filter?
Most basic shower filters use 1 to 5 stages of carbon filtration which can reduce chlorine but cannot neutralise chloramine. Vellise uses 15 stages including Vitamin C - the only proven method to neutralise both chlorine and chloramine - plus pH balancing and mineral restoration that standard filters simply don't offer.

Because each stage targets something different. From sediment removal at stage 1, through heavy metal reduction, pH balancing, mineral restoration, and final polishing at stage 15 - every stage has a specific job. Fewer stages means something gets missed.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a natural, food-grade ingredient that neutralises both chlorine and chloramine on contact. Unlike carbon filtration which can only reduce chlorine, Vitamin C is the only proven method to neutralise chloramine - the chemical compound now used by most Australian water treatment facilities.

Simply unscrew your existing shower head, thread the Vellise filter onto your shower arm, then reattach your shower head onto the filter outlet. The whole process takes under 5 minutes and requires no tools.

The Vellise filter uses a standard G1/2 inch BSP fitting which is compatible with most Australian shower heads and arms. If you are unsure, feel free to contact us before purchasing.

Can I use it if I rent?

Absolutely. The Vellise filter requires no drilling, no permanent modifications, and no plumber. It attaches and detaches easily - take it with you when you move.
What if it leaks?

A small amount of thread tape (PTFE tape) wrapped around the shower arm threads before installation will create a watertight seal. If you experience any leaking after this, contact us at support.vellise@gmail.com and we will make it right.

How long does the cartridge last?
How long does the cartridge last?
Each cartridge is designed to last approximately 90 days under normal usage conditions. We recommend replacing it every 3 months for optimal filtration performance.
How do I know when to replace it?

The simplest indicator is time - set a reminder every 90 days. You may also notice a return of the chlorine smell in your shower, which is usually the first sign your cartridge is ready to be changed.

Over time a spent cartridge loses its filtration effectiveness, meaning your water will gradually return to an unfiltered state. Regular replacement ensures your filter continues performing at its best.
